THE END OF THE WORLD?

Alright....i have some serious business to discuss with you all. I was looking through a forum that i have not looked through for awhile and i came upon a thread. And the stuff that was discussed in this thread shocked my eyes. My jaw dropped and i seriously felt my heart break. Okay....i think i have enough courage to say it now...the thread was entitled "Jordan Retros Ending in 2008?" COULD IT BE TRUE!?!?!?!? After looking through the threads, its still a rumor...I HOPE....and nothing is really solid....from what i have gathered...i know that Jordan has signed an extension with the brand for another 22 years and there is talk about going up to Jordan 45 but yeah..thats totally other news...lets focus on the jordan retros from 1-23....Can you guys imagine? There are people saying this cant be true...the retros are Jordan's bread and butter while others are saying this could be true because Jordan retros hype might stop and wont be as popular anymore.....so i have a serious and urgent plea to those who have anymore information on this.

Transformer Frenzy

As you all know, in the past ive blogged about the transformer craze that has come over the sneaker scene. Of course i will have to update all you guys with some more transformer kicks. I was reading on individual sole and they had this preview of a few nikes that are coming out that are based off of transformers. here are a few pics of em.










yup...you are looking at the NikexTransformer pack which include Air Trainer III, Trainer Huarache, and AM90 Boot. And the break down is this: Air Trainer = Optimus Prim, AM90 = Megatron, and Trainer Huarache = Starscream. These are coming out august 9 tommorrow so keep on the look out!

Updates.

The summer line is finally on its way and it is being prepared as we speak...so thank you to all those who have been patient....we are expecting the launch to be near the second week of august so keep your eyes open...a prewarning for those of you who want to cop some baroke gear: keep updated with the blog because of the limited amounts we are making for the summer collection...within one day, we may sell out your size or even all the shirts!

another thing is the new site for baroke is in the works...the mad scientist(sonny) and i are currently working on it right now and its going to be quite delicious.

and as i posted earlier baroke has a new addition and here i will introduce her with this picture of her and Inglish's(cool kids) father..


yup..shes rockin the limited edition baroke city shirt haha...so from this day on..she is to be known as baroke victoria....she is coming on board to save our lives! victoria will be our sales representative so if yall have sales questions...please contact her at victoria@barokeclothing.com....i will leave it as that and give victoria an opportunity to post something hopefully soon to introduce herself to all you folks out there on the world wide web.

The Push is On!

after a long struggling few weeks the baroke summer line is still pushing through but WILL BE DELAYED! our apologies due to some financial issues.....we are still a really small company and when that is taken into account money is always an issue so i am here to tell you guys there is still hope for the summer line! again we apologize for the delay and hopefully it will be out in august! so thank you all for being patient. also! baroke has added a new member to the squad and will be unveiled soon.

in other news, recently 3sixteen collab'd with a Portland based record label called Hiphop Is Music and put out a mixed cd called "Blood, Sweat and Tears"



and they sent it out with one of their drops on digital gravel and of course it was really limited and was sold out real quick but lucky for all of us who miss'd out the guys over at 3sixteen has offered a link for us to download the entire album for free! so just click this link to start the download!

So heres the deal...baroke has just hit a little stumbling block for the summer line but i cant really tell you too much right now but our apologies...i will keep you updated when i have more information..we greatly appreciate all the support you guys have given us....so lets get all the prayers and fingers crossed...hopefully the summer line can come out soon....but until i have more information id like to share my humble and small collection of jordans that i hold quite dear to me haha...enjoy

Day 2 of Pitchfork Madness

Alright.....pitchfork had many great acts today BUT! i will only highlight two of them because really...in my opinion..they were the ones that really mattered...so here goes

we started off waiting in the mass crowd at the "balance stage" for about 2 hours before cool kids...yeap....THE COOL KIDS came out and performed...but heres a little treat for all yall...

as we were waiting for the cool kids to come out we got this guy who was pushing through the crowds repeatedly saying "parents here." and once they pushed through enough they ended up being right next to me and well here..



to our surprise...yeap...yall heard of the cool kids but here are the cool parents...haha...the circled ladies are INGLISH and MIKEY's mom's..haha yeap...it was insane..they were definitely real cool and they rocked out with all of us...they knew every single line of every track..pure dopeness

the cool kids definitely made pitchfork worth it....they didnt perform their regular tracks but rather remixed versions of tracks like 88, gold and a pager, one two and a few new tracks...it was reall sick...and just to give you guys an idea of how crazy it got...a few girls around me were going buck wild and they spilled their beer all over me....yes...the cool kids really rocked the house...i truly feel bad for all you people who missed out haha..just playing...but no seriously...

anyway...we finished the entire day with de la soul and as you can see...it was pretty packed...this picture was taken almost and hour before they were due to come on


and when they finally did....they definitely rocked the house..




and they also gave us a special treat by...well can you guys see who that is?


haha yeap..its prince paul! they had him spin for them for a few tracks and even joined in on some songs. welps...the concludes pitchfork 07....great year...see yall there next year!

Pitchfork Fun

Pitchfork Music Festival finally arrived today and of course i have pictures to bless you all.

Heres the map of pitchfork so you all can kind of get a idea of what the layout was like.


We started our pitchfork day with Grizzly Bears....mmm they were great again!


after their awesome set we headed over to the other stage to check out professor murder and they had kid sister introducing them which was dope

then we waited for clipse to perform and the crowd was crazy...heres a little insight of it

the clipse was definitely worth the wait...they kicked it back old school and played grindin'...


after clipse we ran over to the other stage and ended our time with the one and only girltalk....as he was setting up the crowd was going crazy and it was jammmmmmm packedddddd..people were all around us...even above us..


but after a good 15 minutes after the scheduled time girltalk finally came out but unfortunately i only have a picture of him before he got into his business suit to rock out.

Yup you got it right..thats him hiding behind his laptop and under that ginormous spider inflatable...haha...he definitely brought the heat and everyone was jammin.

We ended the day with some grub from chinatown

Back to work.....really

2/3 of the baroke team went to New York for a vacation/business trip.
(This is my replacement "last day of New York" blog. I don't have to pics so I didn't update.)

Now that we are back in Chicago it's time to back to work.
But lets talk about some things that I missed when I was gone.
First Bulls drafted Joakim Noah

I think it was an alright pick. Anyone, who watched this guy in the tournament should be happy. As far as the Bulls go, I dunno. We'll see how it all works out. I hear this draft pushes Nocioni out of the picture. Which sucks cause Nocioni is fun to watch. Nocioni and Duhon are a good pair to trade for a decent player.

Cubs win streak? After this...

and this.....

The cubs put together a win streak and a great June record. Seriously I left during a nice lil' sweep of the White Sox. Go to New York and they sweep the Rockies. Last day in New York they beat the Brewers on a two-run walk off by Aramis. So now I'm excited to finally sit down and watch a Cubs game only to have them destroyed. Typical.

Summer line is almost complete.
It is crunch time. We promise not to dissapoint on our second line.
It's summer so hey, think FUN and LOUD.

We also are re-doing the website as we speak. Hardcore construction. Sorry flash heads we hope to turn in down a little bit. We also hope to run everything through the barokeclothing site. Blog and all.

NYC Day 4

so on day 4 dan and i parted ways to do our own stuff. Dan will post about his day in a second. but here goes my day...

Randy's Day.

i started off with some dim sum (if some of you guys dont know what that is, it is basically chinese breakfast) with the family in brooklyn chinatown.


after that i headed over to the lower east side and checked out sugarhead quarters


where they hooked me up with a 3sixteen shredded hoody.

met one of the owners there named Phina i believe and it is seriously a real dope place with dope people who own/work there...a must see on randy's book

after that i went over to the SOHO/chinatown area and i got myself one of these bad boys

yeap.....NYC's finest..hahaha!

shortly after that i went over to Zakka

real nice place they got there with alla these sick books and toys....another must see in NYC

it began to rain so i headed back to brooklyn where i met up with the rest of the family and went out for dinner before i leave the big apple. and for the first time i have ever seen, they served peanuts and carrots of some sort for appertizers...was a real different experience


this is where i shall leave you guys and go pack.
