Final Stretch

to all the faithful barokeans',

we have been working rigorously on the spring line and we are pretty much coming down the home stretch....we are currently, finalizing the little details of the spring collection. after all the late nights and uber hours of designing and redesigning, we have come down to a total of four tee's that will debut around april/may. of the four, three baroke tee's and one limited edition tee will be out for the spring collection. warning: when we say limited...we REALLY mean limited

El Oso joins the baroke squad!

well, here i am. some people call me El Oso, Papa Bear, or even Uncle Bill. i'm a self proclaimed oldster surrounded by kids. young men and women who want to know and learn about the secret things that i am already in touch with and have an intimate knowledge of. i'm here to guide my young baroke brothers in the ways of music snobbery. yeah, i know it's all been done before and nothing is really underground anymore.

hopefully i will post some music, maybe some video, or just my own maudlin philosophical ramblings on the state of contemporary youth culture through the eyes of a 35 year old married man who refuses to grow up...

so here we go:




Holy Fuck - Lovely Allen

Holy Fuck are a band from Toronto but not very traditional in their philosophy and presentation. the band consists of one amazing drummer, one bass player and then two or three guys playing around with various analog synths, effects pedals, and even some film editing equipment used to create loops of sound on the fly to create live and improvised dance music. this was recorded live in the studio with no overdubs at all, as far as i know. i saw them open up for Wolf Parade last year and they rocked the fuck out. their bass player used to be in a Canadian indie rock band called King Cobb Steelie, but what do you care?! enjoy...

Voltron Lion Force......

Now, i have never been that big of a fan of reebok shoes but recently they have been putting out some dope designs. RBK is going to put out a voltron lion force pack which i think looks crazy. and when i say crazy i mean a wow sick baroken crazy. see for yourself.

and again....just in case you young folks dont know who or what voltron is...i have generously wikipedia'd it for you guys:
Voltron is a shape-changing giant mecha robot first featured in the 1980s animated television series Voltron: Defender of the Universe. There has since been a second series, made in the 1990s using CGI techniques. The 1980s Voltron series was based on two vaguely-related Japanese anime series GoLion and Dairugger XV (both originally produced by Toei Animation & Bandai, who also produced the popular Super Sentai series in Japan). The anime was dubbed and connected together by North American television production and distribution company World Events Productions. The series was not a straight dub, however, as much of the violence of the original Japanese series was removed (among other things).

Easter Pumps and Nike SB's
