Back to work.....really

2/3 of the baroke team went to New York for a vacation/business trip.
(This is my replacement "last day of New York" blog. I don't have to pics so I didn't update.)

Now that we are back in Chicago it's time to back to work.
But lets talk about some things that I missed when I was gone.
First Bulls drafted Joakim Noah

I think it was an alright pick. Anyone, who watched this guy in the tournament should be happy. As far as the Bulls go, I dunno. We'll see how it all works out. I hear this draft pushes Nocioni out of the picture. Which sucks cause Nocioni is fun to watch. Nocioni and Duhon are a good pair to trade for a decent player.

Cubs win streak? After this...

and this.....

The cubs put together a win streak and a great June record. Seriously I left during a nice lil' sweep of the White Sox. Go to New York and they sweep the Rockies. Last day in New York they beat the Brewers on a two-run walk off by Aramis. So now I'm excited to finally sit down and watch a Cubs game only to have them destroyed. Typical.

Summer line is almost complete.
It is crunch time. We promise not to dissapoint on our second line.
It's summer so hey, think FUN and LOUD.

We also are re-doing the website as we speak. Hardcore construction. Sorry flash heads we hope to turn in down a little bit. We also hope to run everything through the barokeclothing site. Blog and all.

Thanks to all who have been so eager to see the new stuff. Thanks to everyone who are spreading the word, and offering ideas. We appreciate it.
It keeps us going. Well that and the coffee.

Back to work, son.

Randy's Day.

i started off with some dim sum (if some of you guys dont know what that is, it is basically chinese breakfast) with the family in brooklyn chinatown.

after that i headed over to the lower east side and checked out sugarhead quarters

where they hooked me up with a 3sixteen shredded hoody.

met one of the owners there named Phina i believe and it is seriously a real dope place with dope people who own/work there...a must see on randy's book

after that i went over to the SOHO/chinatown area and i got myself one of these bad boys

yeap.....NYC's finest..hahaha!

shortly after that i went over to Zakka

real nice place they got there with alla these sick books and toys....another must see in NYC

it began to rain so i headed back to brooklyn where i met up with the rest of the family and went out for dinner before i leave the big apple. and for the first time i have ever seen, they served peanuts and carrots of some sort for appertizers...was a real different experience

this is where i shall leave you guys and go pack.

NYC Day 3

It was 91 degrees today and we started the day by grabbing our weapon of choice..

yup as you see water does a body good in this type of heat!

anyway, around lunch time we traveled down to midtown to meet up with a good friend of mine from 3sixteen, drew, and man...he seriously hooked it up as you can see here..

yup...drew hooked it up with 2 shirts from their 2nd drop collection and man...they are sick! so if yall havent cop'd a 3sixteen piece yet...you kids best gets the goin!

after meeting him up at the 3sixteen office, drew took us to a diner around that area for lunch...

and it was quite delicious...

after that meeting we headed up north near uptown and we hit up a few places..the first one was

followed by NBC studios..

where i picked up a...

haha yup....the office is where its at!

then we headed up to..

after alla that fun we all went to

and i must say, you new yorkers are real priviledged to have access to such great art. We instantly fell in love when we saw original DuChamps, Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni's, and Jasper Johns! I highly recommend this museum if you ever get a chance to visit NYC.

Later, we headed over to st. marks to this restaurant called sushi park and had some good sushi for dinner

after dinner we went to this place called BAMN for some desert and this place is insane. this entire restaurant..if we can even call it a restaurant....is basically one big vending machine...take a peek

we ended the night by going to the south street sea port and took a nice stroll and it has an amazing view of the brooklyn bridge

its about 12:18am here in brooklyn so its time for me to sign off....till tmrw kids

NY day 2

So I think we picked the hottest week to come to New York.
I'm talking crazy heat.
We visited Uni Qlo, Supreme, Brooklyn Industries, Michael K, New Era, Serendipity (for the ladies), and tons of stuff.
Too many to list.
Here are some pics.

Good start to the day. Nothing like buying jewlery from a man with multiple stab wounds.

The new H&M. Nice and clean store.

We stopped by Kid Robot....Randy was sad he couldn't get anything.

Supreme shop!

This precious moment brought to you by Baroke Clothing.

China town. Where we learned how to haggle. Also where we learned about secret basements with "Gucci Gucci Gucci."

New Era store was sick. The Yankees have some amazing hats, with the colors and all. Too bad I'm not a fan.

Yessir. (cubs not sox)

We went to K-town. Korean town for dinner. Delicious.

The Baroke team got their sneak on with these new shoes. Carolina got her first pair-o-dunks.

I end with this pic.
This is Piggy. Seriously most hilarious dog ever. It snorts. No barking. Snorts

Great day overall. Lots of big shops. Lots of lil shops.
Tons of walking, tons of sweating.
Stay tuned for the next couple of updates. Hopefully we can update everyday.
