so apparently a photographer named Peter Dean Rickard took a few snaps awhile back and left the pictures on his site the afflicted yard. After a few years, a someone started to poke around for those pictures and now the New Yorker has published a article unveiling who bansky is! You can see the full story by clicking here.

"Banksy is a well-known yet pseudo-anonymous[1] English graffiti artist, possibly named Robert Banks. It is believed that Banksy is a Yate native (near Bristol.[1]) who was born in 1974[2], but there is substantial public uncertainty about his identity and basic personal and biographical details[3]. His artworks are often satirical pieces of art which encompass topics from politics, culture, and ethics. His street art, which combines graffiti with a distinctive stencilling technique, has appeared in London and in cities around the world."

I know this is an older post, but I have to say... I'm a long-time avid Banksy fan, and whether this is him or not (I've always just wondered what he looked like,) I'm sincerel hoping it's a hoax, or just a mistake.
Not knowing who he is or what he looks like makes his work that much more interesting, and I don't want him to stop.
